Obsidian Entertainment's list of upcoming projects currently includes only Avowed and The Outer Worlds 2, however, in addition to them, there may be another game in production that has not yet been presented to the public.

This is indicated by a fresh vacancy for the position of a gameplay programmer who knows how to work with the Unity engine.

According to the announcement, Obsidian is looking for an experienced Unity programmer, passionate about creating a "rich and exciting gameplay", who will join the "talented RPG development team".

The qualities required for a candidate are "a strong work ethic, the ability to do work on time and outstanding problem-solving skills."

As you know, Avowed and the second part of The Outer Worlds are created based on Unreal Engine 5, so a programmer with Unity knowledge was clearly needed by the studio for a completely different project.

To date, Obsidian has already developed five Unity Engine games, including Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire and the recently released Pentiment.

In addition, it may be recalled that last fall Obsidian recruited a new internal team to "lay the foundation" for its "next major RPG", which at that time already employed about 80 developers.

It is possible that there is a direct connection between these vacancies.
