The non-profit organization of game critics New York Videogame Critics Circle to celebrate the head of Xbox Phil Spencer with the prestigious Andrew Yoon Legend Award.
The official presentation of the prize will take place on January 17 at the 12th annual New York Game Awards ceremony, but in the meantime, Spencer shared his thanks and said that it was a great honor for him to become the next winner of the award.
"It is a great honor for me to be awarded the Andrew Yoon Legend Award at the New York Game Awards.
In this wonderful industry, the work of innovation never ends, and I intend to continue in the same spirit," Phil Spencer shared on Twitter.
The Andrew Yoon Legend Award is given to individuals and organizations "who have shown a significant and sustained body of work, attesting to exceptional artistic achievements and innovation."
In the past, the winners of the NYVGA in this category were Reggie Fis-Aime, Tim Shafer, Jade Raymond, Todd Howard, Rockstar Games, Hideo Kojima and others.
