Shigeru Miyamoto has announced that an upcoming animated film based on the Super Mario Bros. will be released a little later than promised. Initially, the premiere was supposed to take place on the eve of the winter holidays, but in the end the team decided to postpone the release in the US and Japan to April 7 and 28, 2023, respectively.

Miyamoto-san didn't explain why, but he apologized and remarked that "it's worth the wait". Deadline heard from its sources that the decision to release the tape during the Easter period is due to the family leisure that accompanies it.

Recall that Super Mario Bros. is directed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenick (screenwriters of the full-length feature film Teen Titans Go!), screenwriter is Matthew Vogel (The Lego Movie 2), and Chris Pratt, Anya Taylor- Joy, Charlie Day, Jack Black, Seth Rogen and other Hollywood stars.
