Google banned Russians from downloading and updating paid apps. The company's decision took effect on May 5.
At the same time, the official blog reports that, if desired, developers can make their applications completely free, and Google's decision will not affect payments to authors. As for free apps, they can be downloaded from Google Play and updated just like before.
Previously, the company required developers to provide people with more information about how applications collect, share and protect user data. Developers must complete this section for their applications by July 20th. At the same time, the section is already open for users.
