Lucasfilm Games and Skydance have announced a collaboration to develop a Star Wars game. The project is created by the studio Skydance New Media, founded in 2019 by the co-author of the original Uncharted trilogy Amy Hennig.

For Hannig, returning to a galaxy far, far away will be the second attempt after Visceral Games' Ragtag project, which was eventually canceled and the studio closed.

Skydance New Media describes the hitherto untitled title as a cinematic action adventure with an original plot, but does not reveal specific details. No name, no release date, no platforms have been announced.

Skydance New Media is a division of the film production company Skydance. Hannig co-founders and co-executives of the studio along with the former executive Julian Beek.

According to the press release, since its inception, Skydance New Media has expanded to include a staff of developers and artists with years of experience working on AAA-level action and adventure games, as well as working with a diverse team of creative consultants from the world of film, television, games and comics.

At the moment, Skydance New Media creates several projects at once. Last October, it was announced that a narrative blockbuster adventure game had been developed under license from Marvel. It's supposed to be a Daredevil game.
