Sony revealed record PS5 sales and announced Project Leonardo

As part of the CES 2023 technology exhibition, a short Sony presentation dedicated to the video game direction took place. PlayStation CEO Jim Ryan personally spoke at the event.

Despite the high expectations, the duration of the speech was less than 10 minutes. In addition, there was no announcement of a new version of the PS5 console with a removable disk drive.

However, Ryan announced that the 2022 holiday season was extremely successful for the company. As a result, PS5 sales have surpassed the mark of 30 million consoles.

In addition, a significant part of the top manager's speech was devoted to the new PlayStation VR2 VR helmet, which will go on sale in February.

So, the launch line of exclusives will include an updated version of the Gran Turismo 7 racing simulator. Well, the big announcement of the whole presentation was Project Leonardo.

We are talking about a controller with a high degree of customization, which is designed for people with disabilities.

Obviously, the project was a response to a similar initiative from Microsoft, which has been successfully developing its Xbox Adaptive Controller for the past few years.
