Sony to spend $1.2 billion to reward Bungie employees

In its recent Fiscal Year 3Q 2021 report, Sony confirmed that it plans to spend a significant portion of its investment in Bungie on motivating its employees. The company is ready to allocate one-third of the $3.6 billion in long-term payouts.

It turns out that $ 1.2 billion will go to encourage Bungie employees who will remain in the company, and Sony will spend the remaining 2.4 billion directly on share buybacks.

It is reported that Sony distributed the specified amount for several years ahead. For example, in the first two years after closing the deal, the company plans to allocate about $792 million in deferred incentive payments.
