In December, the release of the space horror The Callisto Protocol from the Striking Distance Studios team, headed by the author of Dead Space Glen Schofield, will take place, and on January 27, 2023, fans of the genre will expect a remake of his long-standing cult project, which is being created by EA Motive studio.
The father of the franchise, as it turned out from an interview with the portal Inverse, would not create an updated version of Dead Space today if this decision depended on him.
He does not consider such a project necessary and prefers to move on. Nevertheless, he wished good luck to his former colleagues at Electronic Arts.
"To be honest, if it were up to me, I wouldn't redo it. I'm happy for them, but I wouldn't.
I want to move on and do something new. Dead Space is in my past," the developer noted.
The Callisto Protocol will be released on December 2 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
