A video with the first 14 minutes of the gameplay of the upcoming tactical role-playing game The DioField Chronicle by Square Enix was released online.
The video shows the opening sections of the story — everyone will be able to pass them personally from tomorrow, when the demo version of the project will appear on digital platforms.
Recall that the developers describe The DioField Chronicle as "an innovative simulation role-playing game that combines several genre directions at once."
The combat system is a variation of strategy in real time, where the player takes control of several units of unique units and directs them to battle, fighting on several fronts at once.
Units can be configured to perform certain tasks more efficiently, adding additional tactical depth to the gameplay.
The DioField Chronicle tells the story of a gloomy world divided by a prolonged military conflict between two irreconcilable parties, the Empire and the Alliance.
For a long time, the opponents fought a bloody war, but instead of any final victory, everything turned into an endless swamp consisting of local clashes and bloodshed.
The balance of power can be reversed thanks to the special magic resource Jade, which is rumoured to be abundant on the island of Dio Field, where the independent kingdom of Alletein is located.
It is being dragged into a war between the Empire and the Alliance against its will.
The DioField Chronicle is set to premiere worldwide on September 22 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and PC.
