The first game in the original franchise from CD Projekt RED will be in the RPG genre

Apparently, the first original CD Projekt RED game, codenamed Hadar, will be made in the RPG genre.

Later, during a telephone conversation with investors, CD Projekt Vice President for Business Development Michal Novakovsky noted that genre-wise, fans should expect them to play the games that CD Projekt RED is famous for.

Unlike the new The Witcher and Cyberpunk, Hadar is being developed entirely inside CD Projekt RED, while, apparently, the game will either be released towards the end of this generation, or it will already be a full-fledged next-gen release.

"It is important to understand that now we are still working on the basic concepts and laying the foundation for this new franchise," Novakovsky stressed.

Novakovsky evaded the details and did not directly confirm the genre of Hadar, but gave a clear hint that it would be an RPG again.

"Speaking of genre, we create games of a certain type, and I think it's safe to say that we want to continue making games in this genre, so you can imagine what kind of project to expect."
