Steam has set a new record for the number of people using the online service at the same time. On Saturday, the maximum online for the first time exceeded 31.3 million people.
The reason for this was the Christmas holidays and discounts. It is worth noting that the current result beat the previous figures by 200 thousand players.
It was definitely influenced by the Thanksgiving weekend and the fall sale during Black Friday.
For comparison, a year ago, the maximum online on Steam was 25.3 million users — 6 million less than now.
