Under the Waves showed the gameplay of a submarine adventure in the North Sea — the game is published by Quantic Dream

The Parallel Studio team is preparing an adventure Under the Waves, which will take players to the techno-futuristic 1970s and tell about professional submariner Stan.

The hero struggles to overcome the consequences of the loss that turned his life around during a protracted mission in the North Sea.

In a recent video, the developers spoke in more detail about the project, the publisher of which is the French company Quantic Dream, known to players in Heavy Rain and Detroit: Become Human.

At the same time, shots of gameplay were presented. Under the Waves is a single-player game played underwater.

Players will have to explore a huge area resembling the open world on a small submarine, discovering caves, studying sunken ships and "living" marine life.

Parallel Studio was inspired by old documentary films, which was reflected in the "grainy" picture and the increased contrast of yellow and blue colors. The game is scheduled to be released in 2023.
