Activision has announced the exact release date and details of the closed beta of the team battle game Crash Team Rumble.
The project will be released on June 20 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Before that, from April 20 to April 24, the developers will conduct closed testing for pre-customers. The cost of the game will be $ 30 for the standard version and $ 40 for the extended version.
The standard edition will receive the game itself and a premium battle pass for the first season, and the expanded edition will include all of the above, as well as a premium battle pass for the second season, instant unlock of level 25 for the first season and a Digital Proto Pack set including block skins and equipable items.
The beta version will feature three maps and five characters: Crash, Coco, Tauna, Dr. Neo Cortex and Dingodil.
A full-fledged game, in turn, will offer a full cast of heroes and villains from the Crash Bandicoot series, each of whom will play one of three roles: blocker, booster or scorer.
Players will have to work together to collect the largest number of vamp fruits in their drop zone and prevent rivals from doing the same.
Each character will be endowed with their own unique abilities, so players will have to choose which heroes are best suited to help their teams.
Activision also confirmed that Crash Team Rumble will support cross-platform multiplayer.
The game is being created by Toys for Bob studio, behind the development of Spyro: Reignited Trilogy and Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time.
