The German company GRAUGEAR, engaged in the production of computer accessories and storage cooling systems, presented a rather interesting radiator for the PlayStation 5 SSD, involving the airflow of the console's main fan.
The GRAUGEAR G-PS5HS01-Cov cooling system is designed for bare M-format solid-state drives.
2 NVMe and consists of a monoblock radiator with one flat copper heat pipe with a diameter of 7 mm, which passes under it and contacts the hot components on the upper side of the SSD through silicone thermal pads.
The heat pipe is supplied directly to the ventilation opening of the PS5 supply fan and, due to the second copper mini-radiator at the end, dissipates part of the heat of the storage unit along with the air flow.
The manufacturer claims that this design provides 50% better cooling compared to standard aluminum radiators and can reduce the temperature of the memory controller by 15-25 °C.
The weight of GRAUGEAR G-PS5HS01-Cov is 70 grams. There is no information about the availability and cost of the radiator yet.
