Call of Duty Activision topped the list of the main PlayStation 5 sellers

Experts from the UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) conducted a study on the gaming preferences of PlayStation 5 users as part of the review of the deal between Microsoft and Activision Blizzard.

As part of the survey, PlayStation 5 owners were asked what exactly prompted them to buy a new console.

Approximately 89% of respondents admitted that they bought a PlayStation 5 for one or more specific games. And the main one among them was Call of Duty.

For 73% of the surveyed British users, the key factor was the availability of new Call of Duty parts on the PlayStation 5. 69% of respondents also identified various projects from Sony's internal studios, such as God of War (41%), The Last of Us (39%), Marvel's Spider-Man (37%) and Ghost of Tsushima (25.5%).

The report also features Grand Theft Auto, Assassin's Creed, Star Wars and Fortnite, but Call of Duty has become the absolute leader in the number of mentions.

Recall that it was the fate of Call of Duty on PlayStation consoles that became the main stumbling block in the deal between Microsoft and Activision Blizzard.

Recently, the Competition and Markets Authority officially opposed the deal.
