Thatgamecompany announced the development of the Sky: Children of the Light adventure port for PlayStation consoles.
According to the developers, they still have a lot to prepare for the meeting of new players, but it is already known that on PlayStation, the project will support cross-splay with other platforms, so that beginners do not stay away from their friends who prefer to play Sky on mobile devices or Nintendo Switch.
Sky: Children of the Light is the ideological successor to Journey, another famous creation of Thatgamecompany.
In the role of Children of Light, players must embark on a journey through the enchanted world and bring hope to the emptied kingdom by returning the fallen stars to their constellations.
As in Journey, Sky implemented a seamless network mode, but this time the authors put more emphasis on social elements - players can not only observe each other, but also interact, as well as communicate in chats.
The game was originally released on iOS in 2019, followed by a release for Android, and after a while the project reached Switch users.
Sky: Children of the Light is available for free on all platforms.
