PlayStation 5 for the first time beat Nintendo Switch in the weekly ranking of console sales in Japan, informs the publication Famitsu.
During the period from October 24 to October 30, stores sold 38, 86 thousand PlayStation 5 and 38, 63 thousand Nintendo Switch — the difference was 200 pieces.
Earlier it was reported that the Japanese market is now experiencing a shortage of all Nintendo Switch models, including Switch Lite and Switch OLED.
PlayStation 5 is still not freely available to buy, but in October deliveries are actively increasing — from 20 to 28 and now up to 38 thousand per week.
The game chart this time consists almost entirely of new products — Bayonetta 3, Star Ocean debuted in the top ten: The Divine Force, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, Ace Angler: Fishing Spirits, Aquarium and Needygirl Overdose.
Released on September 9, the shooter Splatoon 3, however, again managed to stay in first place.
