Aspyr Media, the studio originally responsible for the project, was completely suspended from further production, as Sony and Disney were disappointed with its progress.
It is Sony that will publish a new version of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic — it has invested in the remake of financial and wants to get a quality exclusive for PlayStation 5.
Saber Interactive and Aspyr Media belong to the same holding company — Embracer Group.
His representatives assured the partners that the transfer of the game Saber Interactive will not lead to problems and additional delays, as this studio was well acquainted with the project when helped Aspyr Media.
