Sony revenue from PC-IGR and peripheral devices has doubled over the year

Over the past few years, PlayStation has greatly expanded its presence on the PC and this naturally affects the growth of sales from the platform.

In her recent report, Sony reported that according to the results of the 2022/2023 of the financial year, the company received more than $ 2.49 billion revenue from PC games and sales of peripheral devices, including PS VR and PS VR2.

This is almost twice as much as the result of 2021/2022 of the financial year. Then this segment of sales brought the company $ 1.37 billion.

The growth was recorded in each quarters, while it was most observed in the fourth quarter (from January to March), when the revenue was almost tripled, reaching $ 1.048 billion.

The main driver of sales during this period was probably the PlayStation VR2, the launch of which fell on February.

As for the PC, in the latest report, Sony also confirmed that she plans to continue to release titles from her game catalog on the PC. In March, the port of The Last of Us: Part I also took place.
