Sony will increase the costs associated with acquisitions. During the current financial year, the company is going to increase the appropriate part of the budget by 20%.
This was during a conversation with investors and analysts by the president of Sony Group Hiroki Totoki. He did not specify which parts of the business required investment in new purchases.
In recent years, the gaming unit has been actively engaged in acquisitions in Sony. Over the past two years, PlayStation bought about a dozen new studios and, apparently, does not plan to stop there.
At the same time, right now, Sony is trying to prevent Microsoft and Activision Blizzard.
