As part of the presentation of Silent Hill Transmission, Konami announced another mysterious project called Silent Hill: Ascension, created jointly by Genvid studios, DJ2 Entertainment, Behavior Interactive, known for the cooperative horror Dead by Daylight, and Bad Robot Games company directed by J.J. Abrams.

The developers note that the project will not be able to restart, so the decisions that will be made by the community of players will once and for all form the canon of the Silent Hill universe.

According to art director Chris Amaral from Bad Robot Games, the interactive series will retain the tone and mood for which fans have come to love the Silent Hill franchise, but at the same time will add its own elements.

Players will be immersed in the "oppressed and tormented dimension of reality".

The creatures presented in the project will reflect the personal traumas and inner demons of the characters' past lives, and the artistic style will demonstrate a fresh look at the franchise — with respect for what was done before.

The launch of the interactive series Silent Hill: Ascension is scheduled for 2023.
