Legendary American rally racer and YouTube blogger Ken Block, familiar to gamers from DiRT and Forza Horizon racing games, has died at the age of 55 after a snowmobile accident.

In addition to a bright career as a racing driver, he was the co-founder of the skateboarding clothing brand DC Shoes. "Ken was a visionary, a pioneer and an icon.

And, most importantly, a father and a husband. He will be incredibly missed," wrote representatives of the clothing company Hoonigan Industries, whose founder was Ken Block.

The media, citing the sheriff's office, report that the tragic incident occurred when Ken Block was driving a snowmobile down a steep slope in Wasatch County (Utah).

As a result of an unsuccessful maneuver, the vehicle overturned and crushed him, which led to injuries incompatible with life.

In addition to three DiRT series games, where he acted as a training driver, and also presented his own line of Monster World Rally Team cars, Blok could be seen in Need for Speed 2015 as a style icon, and his Hoonigan brand cars were featured in the Forza racing series.

Game developers, including Electronic Arts, have expressed their condolences over the death of a racing driver. "He was a motorsport legend and he will be greatly missed.

Our deepest condolences to his family and team," the official Forza Horizon Twitter page says.
