Famitsu shared information on game and console sales in Japan from June 20 to June 26, 2022. During the reporting week, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S improved their position thanks to new deliveries and went nostril — the first family found 9.181 buyers in the last seven days, and the second — 8.915.
Despite the fact that PlayStation 5 significantly bypasses the Xbox Series X|S in terms of total sales in Japan, Microsoft continues to make progress after the catastrophic generation of Xbox One. In the first 25 weeks of 2021, 25,200 Xbox consoles were sold in Japan, and in 2022, the Japanese bought 119,316 consoles during the same period.
PlayStation 5 supplies across the street have sagged slightly, from 603,433 consoles in 2021 to 479,849 in 2022. Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes by Koei Tecmo Games peaked at number one with ~100,000 copies on physical started 35% better than its predecessor in 2017 on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS.
