David Tennant and Catherine Tate will return to "Doctor Who" next season from showrunner Russell T. Davis.
Tennant played the tenth Doctor from 2005 to 2010, while Tate portrayed his companion Donna Noble in the series. At present details of their return aren't present.
"It seems incredible. First we announce the new Doctor, and then we return the old Doctor along with the wonderful Donna. What the hell is going on? Maybe it's a missed story. Or a parallel world, or a dream, or a trick, or memories. The only thing I can confirm is that it will be exciting. Our two greatest stars are reunited for the battle of their lives, ”Davis said.
In last week, it was announced that the fourteenth Doctor Who in the new season of the series will be Shuti Gatwa.
The 29-year-old sex education star will be honored to be the first dark-skinned star to move from one actor to another since the show's debut in 1963.
