The Team Fortress 2 shooter is still one of the most popular games on Steam, despite the fact that it was released back in 2007 and has not been actively supported by developers for a long time.

In addition, the game was also released on consoles as part of The Orange Box collection, but these versions have been played by significantly fewer people until today, and recently the number of platforms where Team Fortress 2 was still available has become one less.

On March 28, The Orange Box servers on PlayStation 3 were permanently closed, which led to the shutdown of Team Fortress 2.

At the same time, the Xbox 360 version did not suffer such a fate, and the shooter still works on Microsoft consoles and is even available on the Xbox Series X|S for backward compatibility.

It is also worth noting that the transfer of The Orange Box to the PlayStation 3 was not done by Valve, as in the case of the X360, but by EA.

At the time of release, the PS3 version was criticized for technical problems, among which the most common were problems with frame rate, and subsequent patches did not fix the situation.

Despite not the best support, EA has kept the servers running for 15 years, which to some extent can be considered a merit.
