Co-op survivalist Evil Dead: The Game will be available today at midnight (previously it was also expected on May 13, but noticeably later), and the owners of the consoles who pre-ordered can already start preloading.

Also, actor, stuntman and special effects artist Tom Savini spoke to the Bloody Disgusting website about the Ash skin he created, which will delight owners of the Collector's Edition. Unfortunately, the creator himself did not get a cameo in the game, despite his participation in a number of cult horror films.

In general, the idea to make a kind of demonic version of Ash, covered with wire, tape and more like a mummy, was approved by the creators of Evil Dead: The Game literally right away. However, a simple sketch was not enough to create a skin, and Savini had to sculpt and then paint a full-fledged figurine.

By the way, earlier Tom created his version of Jason Voorhees for Friday the 13th: The Game, but then, apparently, the process was easier. He also noted that these two heroes (Jason and Ash) are perhaps the only ones that the new skins were to face:

“Well, you know, Freddie is just a red sweater and a glove… So he was pretty much taken care of. Michael Myers - why does he need a new skin? He came back too many times."

Recall that Evil Dead: The Game is coming to PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Switch.
