Although Disney fired Johnny Depp from the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, the actor said he would not return to the role of Captain Jack Sparrow even if the studio changed its mind.

At a new court hearing on Depp's suit against Amber Heard's ex-wife, the latter's lawyer asked the actor if he was considering returning to the Pirates of the Caribbean if he was offered a large check.

"The thing is, Mr. Depp, if Disney had come to you with 300 million dollars and a million alpacas, nothing on this earth would have forced you to come back and work with Disney on the [new] "Pirates of the Caribbean? Right?"

Depp confirmed that he was no longer going to return to the famous role.

"It's true, Mr. Rottenborn."

Depp also noted that Disney fired him from Pirates, but continues to earn money from his character in their parks and selling merch.

"They didn't take my character off the rides. They didn't stop selling Captain Jack Sparrow's dolls. They didn't stop selling anything. They just didn't want me to be drawn to anything they could find out about. "
