Great success for the creators of Alan Wake and Quantum Break: Control bought millions of people — revealed accurate sales

Remedy Entertainment's Adventure Action Control sold more than 3 million copies by the end of 2021. This is reported in the annual report of the Finnish studio.

The company also announced that a total of about 15 million players around the world have played in the project. This includes both those who bought the game and those who took it from the PlayStation Plus and Epic Games Store, as well as from the Xbox Game Pass subscription.

Control was released in August 2019 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and in 2021 acquired a reprint for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The game also appeared on the Nintendo Switch as a cloud version and is available in streaming services Amazon Luna and Google Stadia.

At the time of launch, Control became the new original IP developed and the game received high marks from critics and, according to the studio, formed a large and growing fanbase.

Last June, Remedy and 505 Games announced the development of two Control projects under the code names Condor and Heron. The first is a cooperative spin-off, while the second is known only that it will be larger.
