GrimGrimoire by Dragon's Crown and 13 Sentinels will be re-released on PS4 and Nintendo Switch

Enlisting the support of the publisher Nippon Ichi Software, developers from the studio Vanillaware announced the reissue of GrimGrimoire. A recent issue of the weekly game magazine Famitsu reports that the classic two-dimensional strategy in fantasy setting will be released on PS4 and Switch with the subtitle OnceMore.

In Japan, the game will go on sale on July 28, the release in the West has not yet been confirmed. The project was originally released on PlayStation 2 in 2007. The original GrimGrimoire was warmly welcomed by critics, but did not pay off in sales. Users were asked to take on the role of a Lillet Blan witch student to unravel the mystery of a five-day time loop while defending themselves and their school from the attacks of magical enemies.

The remaster will have a lot of improvements, and many mechanics will support of large-format screens, the function of rewinding battles and story points, the ability to save in the middle of a battle, a heavy level of difficulty, a gallery and much more.

After GrimGrimoire, Vanillaware released games such as Odin Sphere, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, Dragon's Crown and 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim. The latter recently reached the Nintendo Switch.
