Sony Interactive Entertainment updated the PlayStation Studios banner on the PlayStation website with Death Stranding, leading to speculation about the possible acquisition of Kojima Productions.

As users have noticed, PlayStation Studios originally featured Concrete Genie, but was recently replaced by Death Stranding.

The banner also updated the MLB posters: The Show, Horizon and Gran Turismo, taking into account the release of new games in the series, and added a remake of Demon's Souls, the developers of which, Bluepoint Games, Sony acquired last year.

Death Stranding is owned by Sony and was developed with the platform owner's money, but Kojima Productions was engaged in the production of the game as an independent studio after from Konami. PlayStation Studios, in turn, is a label of games from internal studios.

According to users, the Returnal banner games from PlayStation Studios added only after the purchase of the studio Housemarque.

Recently, Hideo Kojima announced that he has moved to a new headquarters. The studio left the former premises, where it was stationed for five years and made Death Stranding, but gave no reasons.

In addition, at the end of March, insiders Jeff Grubb and Greg Miller reported that they heard from their sources about the upcoming major purchase of another studio or company by Sony.
