In Russia, they may start granting esportsmen a deferral from the army

At the meeting of the working group on the development of Russian computer sports, which was held with the participation of President of the FCC of Russia Dmitry Smith, a proposal was made to grant esportsmen a deferral from service in the army. In addition, the working group also put forward a proposal to allocate a quota for budget places for the winners of major esports tournaments for admission to institutions. According to the source, now the list of competitions which will fall into category is approved.

Both initiatives are under consideration and have yet to be adopted. Their approval will be a matter for further consideration.

Persons younger than 27 years with higher education and at least a year's experience in the industry will be able to obtain it.
