In March, the Disney film company announced the suspension of its activities in Russia and the CIS countries. Now a partial return to the post-Soviet space has been announced.
One of the largest film markets in the CIS hosts the first Disney premiere in several months. Starting from May 5, it will be possible to watch a new fantastic blockbuster Doctor Strange: In the Multiverse of Madness in the film tests of Kazakhstan.
Film rental in Kazakhstan and other CIS countries was entrusted to the Meloman company, which previously dealt with Disney releases in Central Asia. The choice will soon be announced by the Prime Minister in other CIS countries. But the company does not plan to return to Russia yet.
In particular, Russian viewers have not seen the new Pixar cartoon I'm Blushing, which is scheduled to premiere on March 10. Universal, Warner Bros., Sony, Paramount and Lionsgate also announced a temporary suspension of releases in Russia.
