According to The Information, the US Federal Trade Commission has begun reviewing the deal between Sony and Bungie, which cost the former $3.6 billion.
In fact, this is a standard procedure, which does not mean at all that the purchase of the studio will be canceled, although there is always a risk. A similar procedure was previously subjected to the high-profile deal between Activision Blizzard and Microsoft.
As for Bungie, the company recently made an announcement that was not related to games - it announced support for reproductive choice, freedom and privacy, and at the same time human rights.
This decision was met by the audience mostly negatively - the studio was advised not to go into areas that were in no way related to its activities, and continue to delight us with games.
