Nintendo will add combat mode to the Mario Kart Tour and remove the lootbox system

The developers of the Mario Kart Tour reported that in September fans are waiting for an update, in which the battle mode will be introduced into the race and the monetization system will change.

At the moment, players receive drivers, cards and other content using pipes that give out a random item, like from lootboxes.

At the end of the month, gacha mechanics will be replaced by Spotlight Shop, where you can exchange rubies for previously known things.

Probably, offers will change every few days, as in a regular store. The reason Nintendo took such a step is not reported.

However, the European Union and other countries continue to fight the lootbox system in games, exerting influence on publishers.
