The Association of Cinema Owners has requested financial support from the Government of the Russian Federation in the amount of 4.2 billion rubles. Roman Isayev, CEO of Comscore in Russia and the CIS, told about this during the stream in the telegram channel of the "Distributor's Bulletin".

He noted that the task of the cinemas now is to hold out in April and May, since for this period there is still no clarity with the structural changes due to the sanctions. For business to survive, they need help similar to last year's support from the state. At that time, the Russian film industry was allocated 4.2 billion rubles, half of which went to cinemas, and the other - to producers, but this time AVK asked the government for the full amount of the same 4.2 billion rubles.

"Producers of Russian films and so on long stay in the rental. Cinemas in this sense are more important to get help, but will give it or won't give - another question".

Isayev also said that one of the members of the AVK council and the head of the Cinema 5 film network, Alexey Voronkov, calculated that by the end of the year, demonstrators, even with a truncated type of work, will require about 10 billion rubles of direct support from the state, and in subsequent years this amount should be even higher, as it will be necessary to compensate three quarters of the lost Hollywood box office.
