Russian esportswoman as part of the G2 Gozen team became the champion of the EMEA region in Valorant

The European team G2 Gozen won the Valorant Game Changers EMEA tournament among women's teams from Europe, the CIS and the Middle East for the second time in a row. In the final of the first split of Game Changers EMEA 2022 , the G2 Gozen roster defeated the Guild X team with a score of 3:1 .

Both teams feature esportswomen from Russia: Anastasia "Glance" Anisimova (G2 Gozen) and Victoria "victoria" Ukasova (Guild X). The prize pool for the first Game Changers EMEA split was €30,000 .

VCT Game Changers is a series of women's Valorant tournaments designed to create an accessible and safe environment for women to compete in esports. without harassment based on individual characteristics or gender.

The EMEA region joined this program in autumn 2021. In the first two splits of the tournament, the French TENSTAR Nova became the best team, and G2 Gozen won the final tournament in 2021. In the final, the girls defeated the Guild X team, which was represented by the Russian athlete Anastasia "Glance" Anisimova .

Before the start of the 2022 season, G2 signed Glance from Guild X and was replaced by another athlete from Russia, Victoria "victoria" Ukasova . Both teams advanced to the final stage of the first split of the new season and met again in the final, which ended with a score of 3:1 in favor of G2 Gozen - just like in the previous tournament. For the entire tournament, the G2 female roster gave up only one map - in the final against Guild X.

 

In total, 32 teams participated in the final stage of the first Game Changers EMEA split, 8 of which were played by representatives of the CIS. The VALORANT Champions Tour 2022 season has two more Game Changers EMEA series scheduled in May and September. At the end of the season, the best squads from different regions will compete in the final Game Changers tournament in November 2022.
