Shipments of PlayStation products in the US increased by 400 in September%

Shipments of PlayStation products in the United States in September increased by 400% compared to the same period last year.

This was announced on Twitter by IMS Financial senior analyst David Gibson, who studied the documentation on the import of products to the United States.

According to the data obtained, in September of this year, Sony Interactive Entertainment delivered about 7.5 thousand tons of goods to the United States, which is five times more than in September 2021.

However, this does not mean that five times more PlayStation 5 consoles arrived in the country last month, since the figure takes into account all products in general (games, accessories, and so on).

Nevertheless, part of the supply is probably aimed at restocking the PS5 ahead of the launch of God of War: Ragnarok. Gibson also studied the Microsoft data.

According to his estimates, Xbox shipments increased by 89% compared to last year (approximately 4.5 thousand tons versus 2.5 thousand tons).

Switch supplies, on the contrary, dropped by 59% in September, however, the company is increasing production and uses air transportation, while the data obtained are based only on imports by sea.
