The other day the gameplay of the test assembly of sea action about pirates Skull & Bones leaked into the network. After that, Ubisoft showed an official teaser with new footage, and a representative of the publishing house confirmed the reliability of the leak in a comment by Kotaku.

According to the statement, the leaked video was part of a recently seen technical test and was not intended for public display. The gameplay presented in the video demonstrated an early build of the game that did not reflect the quality and features of the final version. The company will soon share more detailed information.

In turn, sources of the publication also managed to find out that Ubisoft expected to launch Skull & Bones this spring, but later the internal date was shifted to summer, and then to September. It is now expected that the release will take place in the autumn.

Originally, Skull & Bones was announced back at E3 2017, but went to production hell. Kotaku writes that the development of the project has already cost Ubisoft more than $200 million, so the company is now struggling to bring the game to release.

Officially, Ubisoft plans to release Skull & Bones until March 2023.
