Ubisoft has postponed the planned shutdown of its old game servers in June.

The shutdown was scheduled to take place today and affect 15 different games, but at the last moment the network support shutdown was postponed until October 1, after which gamers will no longer be able to use online services in Assassin's Creed (II, III, Brotherhood, Liberation HD, Revelations) Far Cry 3,  Splinter Cell: Blacklist, Driver: San Francisco, Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands and other titles.

In addition, Ubisoft said earlier that the owners of some PC games included in the list with the closing online, will lose access to purchased DLC.

This applied to single-user additional content for Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, Assassin's Creed III, Far Cry 3, and Splinter Cell: Blacklist, but the company revised these plans along with the server shutdown delay.

Users should have time to activate the designated DLCs before October 1, but will be able to download them without any restrictions. Moreover, Ubisoft decided not to close Anno 2070 servers at all.

Instead, the team will update the strategy and replace the old online services, which will allow fans to continue to enjoy all the features of the game.
