At the age of 45, actress Annie Versing, known to fans of The Last of Us for the role of Tess, died. The cause of death of the actress was cancer, diagnosed in 2020.
In addition to her contribution to the cult game Naughty Dog, she starred in such popular TV series as "24 Hours", "Bosch", "The Vampire Diaries" and "Star Trek: Picard".
Despite the terrible diagnosis, Annie Versing continued to act, and the last series with her participation were "The Newcomer" and "Star Trek: Picard".
In addition to working on television, she also performed in the theater.
Both fans and her colleagues expressed their condolences over the death of the actress, including Troy Baker and Neil Drakmann, who took part with her in the work on The Last of Us.
"Never miss an opportunity to tell someone that you are just glad to meet him. Annie, you've invested so much in Tess.
Your strength is her strength, and you will continue to live not only in her, but also in many other roles that you have brought to life," Troy Baker wrote on Twitter.
"I just found out that my dear friend Annie Versing has passed away. We just lost a wonderful creative person.
My heart is broken. I'm sorry to my loved ones," Neil Drakmann wrote.
Annie Versing has a husband and two children, for whose support a charity collection was created on GoFundMe, where almost 136 thousand dollars have already been transferred.
