The launch of the PlayStation Q Lite portable console is scheduled for November this year

Last week, Jeff Grubb revealed that Sony may be developing a portable PlayStation device focused on cloud streaming.

After that, Tom Henderson confirmed these plans, adding that the console is codenamed Q Lite and will focus on using the Remote Play function in conjunction with the PlayStation 5, and will also offer a touch screen and gaming controls with tactile DualSense capabilities.

According to him, PlayStation Q Lite will be released after the new PS5 with a detachable drive, which should appear this September, but before the PS5 Pro, expected in the Christmas holidays of 2024.

Now Henderson has clarified exactly when the release of the PlayStation cloud portable should take place.

In the latest issue of the Iron Lords podcast, he revealed that the current plan is to launch the device in November of this year.

"It will be released between the PS5 Pro, which is currently expected at the end of 2024, and the new PS5 with a removable disk drive, which will appear at the end of this year.

Now its release is closer to the end of this year. Many have talked about 2024, but at the moment it looks like it will be November."

According to Henderson, the PlayStation Q Lite is now at the quality control stage, and the prototype of the device is similar to DualSense with an 8-inch screen in the center.
