The authors of Resident Evil: Village had to reduce the height of Dimitrescu for The Mercenaries mode

On October 28, the horror Resident Evil: Village will receive a paid content pack Winters’ Expansion.

In addition to the opportunity to return to a creepy Eastern European village with a story about a grown-up Rose, the addition will also add a third-person view for the main game and new characters to The Mercenaries mode, including Chris Redfield, Karl Heisenberg and Alsina Dimitrescu.

An interesting clarification has appeared about the latter.

It turned out that Dimitrescu's gigantic height became a problem in the process of adapting the vampire to a playable character, as a result of which the developers had to slightly reduce her height compared to the original version in order to make management more convenient.

According to the game director of Winters' Expansion of Kento Kinoshita, the height of Dimitrescu has been reduced from 9.6 feet to exactly 9 feet, however, even with this growth, players will barely avoid collisions with ceilings.

Kinocity also explained that the purpose of adding all three characters to The Mercenaries was to give them a special character.

For example, Chris is a hybrid character that combines the capabilities for long-range (firearms) and melee (fists) combat, Heisenberg uses magnetic force to launch attacks from close range, and Dimitrescu relies on his large height to deliver powerful crushing blows and can throw furniture.

Unlike Ethan, new characters will not be able to buy weapons from the Duke, but they will have access to abilities, depending on which the game will have differences even for the same character.
